In this area of research, we are interested in developing novel techniques for automated and intuitive capturing and synthesis of digital contents.

This ranges from the 3D graphics and animation, including human animation, to digital documents generated by handwriting recognition or OCR (Optical Character Recognition). {Projects….}

We also investigate various aspects of artificial life and human animation for creating realistic behaviours and animation. This targets wide range of applications including games, educational, entertainment, and social games. {Projects….}

In previous research, a parametric human animation synthesis (PHAS) system has been developed for parametric synthesis of realistic motions.

We also have a full-body motion capture (MOCAP) platform that is utilised in capturing realistic real-time human movements.
